Burkinshaw Block Management (BBM) is a privately owned, entirely independent, professional company specialising in Block and Estate Management.

BBM was formed in 2002 to provide an excellent, dedicated, personal local Block & Estate Management service. BBM provides a high-quality, bespoke service for purpose-built residential blocks, converted houses and privately owned estates, or any development where there are service charges/estate charges payable. BBM will act as agent for Residents’ Management Companies, Freeholders, Developers or the Residents of the property. BBM is based in Tunbridge Wells and manages property throughout Kent and Sussex.

Those choosing to work in this industry require specialised skills and an in-depth knowledge of specific legislation (which is constantly evolving and changing). Since 2003 BBM has been an active, corporate member of ARMA (the Association of Residential Managing Agents), the only government recognised body for this industry. As part of BBM’s membership of ARMA, BBM endorses, accepts and undertakes to comply with the ‘Service Charge Residential Management Code’ approved by the Secretaries of State for England and Wales under the terms of S87 of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993.

Block Management is quite a unique form of property management which should not be confused with any other form of the ‘management’ of property such as residential letting.
